A little background on this workshop: As a brand strategist, designer, and marketer, I've been working on, creating, and editing content for clients (and my own business) for 25 years. I'm not a trend-seeker because it grosses me out, but also because I know what works long-term (as well as how to leverage new tools). But like many writers, the past few years of changes in marketing made me want to run for the hills. Instead, I dug deep and explored a more integrated mind-body-spirit approach to marketing, and then I tested it.

What resulted is a new way of creating content--from a place of aligned flow instead of platform-based chaos and constant trend/algorithm seeking. I don't know about you, but I'm sick of the shtick and only interested in building my brand in total alignment with my values.

This workshop will walk you through my Calm approach to creating content and help you set up your own way of consistently producing writing/posts/videos/audio/whatever that makes you feel inspired to create and share while also resonating with your people.

Fun Find: StoryGrid

Like many of us, I'm working on getting myself back into a consistent writing routine working on my book(s).

I recently discovered this tool the other day. If you've been struggling to find the right structure for your book; or having difficulty figuring out why your manuscript isn't working; or if you're just a nerd like me who loves systematic approaches to creative work, you may just love this!

The core StoryGrid tool is a spreadsheet that helps you understand your content genres (not the marketing/sales category genre) as well as many other structure and thematic elements to help you either organize and write your book OR analyze your existing manuscript to help you find the holes or scenes that need work.

I'm just starting to experiment with it, but finding it super useful.

Coming Soon: new episode of Behind the Author Brand!

You're not going to want to miss this new episode where I chat with Elizabeth Husserl, author of The Power of Enough: Finding Joy in Your Relationship to Money. This is not your average conversation about money, marketing, or branding. This truly perspective-shifting episode comes out next week.

I know this year has already started with a lot of drama on the national scale, but I truly hope you have an opportunity to regroup and center during these first few months of the year/last few months of lunar year.

All the Best,

Andrea
